Fenerbahçe Sports Club
Fenerbahce Sports Club (abbreviated as FB) was founded in 1907 in Istanbul as a football (soccer) club. It's one of the most known clubs of Turkey together with Galatasaray and Besiktas clubs. Their colors are yellow and navy blue, their nickname is "yellow nightingales". Today, the club has many sports branches from football to basketball, from handball to swimming, or from boxing to sailing, and so on.
As for the football, Fenerbahce won the Turkish Super League for 16 times, being 2006 - 2007 season as the last one. Also their basketball team won the League lately in 2006 - 2007 season. In 2008, they played quarter finals in the Champions League.
Today, its president is Mr. Aziz Yildirim and the club's headquarters is in Kiziltoprak neighborhood of Kadikoy district where there is also Sukru Saracoglu Stadium with over 52,000 capacity, second largest in the city after the Olympic Stadium. Fenerbahce club has several shops to sell their branded merchandise, many fan clubs around the world, official foundations, etc.
