Besiktas Sports Club
Besiktas Jimnastik Klubu, known as BJK, was founded in Istanbul in 1903 as a Gymnastics club. Their Football (soccer) department was first founded in 1911. Along with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray teams, they're also the most known football club of Turkey playing in the Premier League. Besides football, BJK has several sports branches such as basketball, athletics, boxing, handball, wrestling, and so on. Their colors are black and white, their nickname is "black eagles".
Besiktas won the Turkish Super League for 13 times, being 2002 - 2003 season as the last one.
Today, its president is Mr. Yildirim Demiroren and the club's headquarters is Besiktas district. Their stadium, Inonu Stadium, is also located in Besiktas near the Dolmabahce Palace and has a capacity of 32,000 people.
